Jon Wenger is the founder of JPW Consulting Solutions and a veteran law enforcement professional with 25 years of service. His career began shortly after 9/11, during a period of strong national support for law enforcement. His first assignment placed him in a high‑demand, low‑income neighborhood, where he built meaningful relationships with community members—experiences that shaped his philosophy on policing and leadership.
An early critical incident redirected his career toward the Community Services Bureau, where he gained extensive experience in community policing, program development, and public engagement. Over the years, he has served in a wide range of roles, including patrol, investigative services, professional standards, and community outreach.
Wenger has served as a D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. instructor, a School Resource Officer, and a member of the state boards for both the Wisconsin DARE Officers Association and the Wisconsin Association of Community Oriented Police, holding positions such as District Director and Vice President. He also supervised his agency’s Neighborhood Resource Officer Unit, guiding its growth into a respected and trusted community program.
His dedication has been recognized through honors including the Law Enforcement Purple Heart and membership in the Safariland Save Club (#1594).
Wenger is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command and has completed advanced leadership training through the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He also holds certification in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), underscoring his expertise in proactive safety strategies.
Today, he applies his extensive background in law enforcement, leadership, and community collaboration to consulting, helping organizations enhance safety, security, and public trust.
Together with his wife, he leads JPW Consulting Solutions, providing organizations with comprehensive support in safety, security, compliance, and organizational order. Their combined expertise offers a balanced, effective approach to protecting people, strengthening processes, and building trust.
