Community Policing Foundation Course
This course is designed for officers without training in Community Policing. This course is also helpful for those in the private or public sector looking for relationship building between the law enforcement profession and other departments of government or the public. If an area of the training brings insight to an officer, they can build on their interest and use this as their strength while following the principles of community policing.
Hello I’m Jon, founder of JPW Consulting Solutions. I entered the law enforcement profession just after 9/11, when support was high for law enforcement. This support made carrying the badge easy for a rookie officer.
As a veteran law enforcement officer with over 20 years of experience, I have worked in different areas of my agency, including patrol, investigative services, and community policing/professional standards. I have been an instructor with DARE and GREAT, I was an SRO (School Resource Officer) in several schools, and have proudly served on the state board of the Wisconsin DARE Officer Association for DARE and the Wisconsin Association of Community Oriented Police as a district director and Vice President. I have earned multiple certifications including Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
